March 2015

Monaco International Salsa Festival

(Dates TBA)

Initially taking place March 27-29?2015, this international salsa festival gathers talented salsa dancers, and orchestrates three shows in the evening with after-parties and two days dedicated to dance workshops, followed by an amazing concert. Initially taking place at the Salle du Canton in Monte-Carlo, but as of now, dates and location are postponed. However, the weekend of March 20th is planned to have workshops, a dancing party, and a zumba party prepared.

Rose Ball

(March 29th, 2015)

A major charity event in Monaco, unfortunately invite-only, but a highly prestigious event, often graced by the presence of the Royal family. Talented, well-known performers produce a show and delight the audience with music as the night goes on. A gourmet dinner is provided for all guests attending this event.

Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival

(March 20th-April, 12 2015)

An annual event bursting with culture and multiple mediums of art; music, theater, dance, etc. Talented artists from around the world are gathered to entertain the guests of the festival. Performances such as the world-renowned Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo are featured throughout the festival. The largest institutions of Monaco collaborate to bring a multiplicity of 11th and 12th centuries music during their performance(s). This is the 31st annual music festival of cultural adventure, and will be performed at various venues throughout Monaco.

Monte-Carlo Rolex Tennis Masters

(April 11-19, 2015)

One of the world’s ?Super? tennis tournaments, the matches witnessed here bring the best players around to face-off in the first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 of the year 2015. Held at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, watch talented players such as Novak Djokovic, Milos Raonic, and Grigo Dimitrov play for the champion title of tennis. During this week, you may also enjoy a performance by the New York Dance company, Bad Boys of Dance, on April 17. The dance troupe will be putting on an interesting adaptation of Shakespeare’s ?Romeo and Juliet? through ballet, classical dance, hip hop, and acrobatics against the backdrop of sublime music and video projections.

Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix

(May 21-24, 2015)

Every spring, the Monaco Outdoor F1 racecourse is filed with sports car fans from around the world to watch the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. Racing on city streets, excited spectators watch racers speed along Albert Boulevard towards the casino, and around towards the Fairmont Monte Carlo as their engines roar around the track. Being the only race be held on city streets, this isn’t one to miss.

Feast of St. John

(June 24th, 2015)

Every year, on the Eve of St. Johns Day, the Palace Square is filled with folk groups dressed in the attire of days of old, whose singing, dancing, and playing of the mandolin during the performance are dedicated to the baptist, St. John. On the 24th, the feast moves from Monaco-Ville to Monte-Carlo, where the folk groups honor St. John and his lamb at Mill Square (Place des Moulins). This is an annual tradition held on the same day every year.

July 2015

Summer Festival at the Sporting Club

(July 4th, 8th, 11th, 28th and 29th, 2015)

Wow, what a way to celebrate the summer in Monte-Carlo. During this year’s summer festival, performances by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet, Lenny Kravitz, Carlos Santana, and Johnny Hallyday will be held at the Sporting Club. Such a variety of performers, it has to be the highlight of the summer.

Concerts at the Prince's Palace

(July 12th ? August 5th, 2015; 9:30pm)

The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra puts on concerts in the Court of Honor at the Prince’s Palace during the summer. The world’s greatest conductors and soloists, along with famous pianists, perform over the course of six nights the famous works of Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, and Beethoven. Anyone with a taste and love for music will want to be present during these concerts.

August 2015

Monte-Carlo International Fireworks Festival

(August 8th, 2015; 9:30pm)

Now this is something incredibly different you may only find in Monaco. It is a fireworks ?competition? where international pyrotechnic specialists compete by igniting the most original and beautiful firework designs you may ever see. The event is free, and there are various locations to watch from to catch the display.

Monte-Carlo Red Cross Gala Ball

Every year in August, the Monte-Carlo Red Cross hosts an annual fundraising event, paired with a gala, to thank its supporters. International celebrities come out to perform and entertain the guests, and gourmet meals are prepared for a memorable ceremony.

Monaco Classic Week

(September 9-13th, 2015)

Since 1994, the Monaco Yacht Club started to gather the entire spectrum of boats, from recreational crafts to steam-powered boats, luxury yachts, and a fleet of classic yachts led by the Club’s flagship Tuiga. This is a celebration of maritime, as well as a time to hold exhibitions and competitions throughout the week at Port Hercule Harbour.

Monaco Yacht Show

(September, 23-26th, 2015)

This year, at Port Hercules, the the world’s 100 most beautiful yachts are put on display. Owners, professional yachtsmen, and boat-lovers alike will enjoy the spectacle of checking out yachts ranging from 25-90m in length. Furthermore, every year, 30 new models coming to market are on put on display.

Voiles De Saint Tropez

(Saturday, September 26th ? Sunday, October 24th, 2015)

This sailboat contest consists of over 200 yachts, an elite fleet divided into two categories: modern and classical. Organized by the Societe Natuique de Saint Tropez, many state that this race has succeeded the legendary Nioulargue and is quite the spectacle to watch.

Saint Tropez Classic

(Sunday, October 18th, 2015)

Starting at the St Tropez Port, and ending in the heart of St Tropez at the Places des Lices, this run tends to have over 1000 people participating annually. Able to take part in either an 8km or 16km run, people have their choice based on their ability, and there are even children’s races, wherein up to 200 kids tend to race following the 8km/16km run.

Cross du Larvotto

(November 6th, 2015; 10am – 6pm)

This year, the Monaco Athletisme sports association is holding the 38th cross-country run in Monaco.

December 2015

Monaco Dance Forum

(Dates TBA)

This event only happens every two years, so if you miss it this year, you’ll be missing out on a dance performance celebration that won’t come back around until 2017. Dances of all types, those internationally recognized, as well as those just starting to emerge, from neo-classical times to modern hip-hop routines, are performed during this event. Grab a seat at the Grimaldi Forum for this bi-annual spectacle.

Christmas and New Year's Festivities

(December 24th ? 31st, 2015)

Althroughout the last week of the year, various venues in Monaco host special events, such as outdoor celebrations, concerts, parades, gala dinners, and activities for children to enjoy. On New Year’s Eve, everyone gets together in the Casino Square to celebrate the New Year of 2016 at midnight.
